Welcome to Adrien

In May 2024, Adrien Deroubaix joined the NETWAT consortium.
Adrien obtained his PhD from the University of Paris 6 at LOCEAN in 2013 on the impact of desert dust and climate on meningitis epidemics in the Sahel.
He then turned his attention to air quality modelling, in particular desert dust, by joining the LMD and then the GFDL (Princeton, USA).
He joined MPI-meteorology (Hamburg, Germany) in 2018 to work on air quality modelling in Brazil, focusing on the Sao Paulo megacity.
In 2020, he was awarded a European Marie Curie Fellowship to work on satellite aerosol composition at the University of Bremen until 2024.
His research within the NETWAT consortium is carried out at LISA with G. Bergametti, C. Bouet, B. Marticorena and G. Siour, and focuses on optimising the simulation of desert dust deposits using the CHIMERE model in West Africa.
